Nintendo Wins Latest Round In Its 15-Year Legal Battle Over The Wii https://ift.tt/LZTYQmf Nintendo has been known to vigorously defend its interests and intellectual properties in court, and one of its longest-running legal battles may be nearing its conclusion. In 2010, the Japanese video game publisher filed a suit in Germany against BigBen Interactive--the previous incarnation of Nacon--over its third-party Wii Remote controllers. Now, the latest ruling has unequivocally gone in Nintendo's favor. As reported by Games Fray , the Mannheim Regional Court has reaffirmed the ruling that Nintendo is owed damages of over €4 million plus interest. Because Nacon fought the ruling, that interest has increased the total fee to just under €7 million. Polyphony Digital has announced that new content will be coming to Gran Turismo 7 as a part of the 1.29 update. The latest update introduces VR mode for PlayStation 5 players, new modes, new drivable cars, and more.

Thanks to a PlayStation Blog, we know that PlayStation 5 players who own a PS VR2 can access a new area called the VR Showroom from their garage or other in-game car dealerships. With the PS VR 2, players can see the HDR tone mapping and use a new eye-tracking feature that renders areas of the screen that they're looking at. In addition to that, PS VR 2 will also support dynamic 3D audio for a more immersive experience.

The update will also introduce Sophy Race Together limited-time mode that'll only be available for PlayStation 5 users. This mode will be available from February 21 to the end of March, and in it, players will race against the GT Sophy in a series of four circuits. Players can also race against the GT Sophy in a 1VS1 mode, where they'll be driving against the AI in another GT Sophy with the same stats.
