And by "play as Godzilla," I mean you will be taller than the tallest building in Seaport City, and will have the ability to crush every building and build on the map by stepping on it or firing off Godzilla's laser breath. It's similar to how the playable Doctor Doom worked during Chapter 5 Season 4, except you'll be even taller than the giant Doom was. Matthew Macfadyen, perhaps best known for his work on HBO's Succession, is in talks to join the cast of Deadpool 3 alongside Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and Emma Corrin. Deadline was first to report.

Macfadyen's role has not been revealed, but the character was described as a "third wheel" to Deadpool and Wolverine. The film will be the first R-rated entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be produced by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige.

Deadpool 3 is directed by Shawn Levy and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who previously worked on the first two Deadpool movies. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin wrote an earlier draft of the script. Disney has scheduled the film for release on November 8, 2024.
