I've loved this series since its inception, and seeing it again at Evo 2025 after a lengthy absence felt incredible. Both Virtua Fighter 5 REVO and the upcoming new Virtua Fighter game were heavily showcased at the event, and the sense of excitement around the series in the fighting game community and beyond has never felt stronger. With both the current and upcoming games featured at the show, we had the opportunity to chat with Seiji Aoki, the lead of Sega's Legacy Virtua Fighter team, and Riichiro Yamada, who is producing the New Virtua Fighter Project. MLB The Show 23 has arrived, bringing a new year of baseball simulation to major platforms. In addition to new features like true two-way players and the universal DH, there is also a new mode called Storylines, which will focus on highlighting players from the Negro League. The launch also brings freshly updated rosters and player ratings, resulting in new rankings for all of the MLB teams. Here's which teams snagged the top ten spots in MLB The Show 23.

10. St. Louis Cardinals

The reigning National League Central division winner with a 96-69 record, the St. Louis Cardinals take the number 10 spot in MLB The Show 23. While the team has middling Speed and Defense, coming in at 22nd and 21st respectively, the Cardinals managed to take a top 10 spot based on its roster's power. Ranked 2nd in the league in power, only behind the Atlanta Braves, the St. Louis Cardinals roster has returning power hitters like 1B Paul Goldschmidt and 3B Nolan Arenado, as well as recent additions to the team like former Cub C Willson Contreras.

9. Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners, who secured a Wildcard Spot with a 90-72 record, are ranked 9th this year in MLB The Show 23. With the 8th best power and 9th best pitching in the league, the Mariners secure their spot in-game ahead of a promising real-life season. The roster includes AL Rookie of the Year CF Julio Rodríguez and recent addition, starting pitcher SP Luis Castillo. While no players on the roster have above an overall rating of 90, the majority of starting players all have either A or B potential, making the Mariners a contender.
