Now sitting alongside other cultural artifacts that were added this year--like Beyonce's "Single Ladies" and Weezer's debut blue album--Robert Prince's Doom soundtrack is being honored for its part in ID Software's genre-defining first-person shooter. As part of the selection criteria for the National Recording Registry, sound recordings need to be "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and can only be added 10 years after it was first created. The program has been running since 2002 following the creation of the National Recording Preservation Act of 2000, and the first 50 entries were officially announced in 2003. So what Doom so special? Deadpool 3 is the first entry in the foul-mouthed series since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. Fans might be happy to hear that the family-friendly Disney doesn't appear to be throttling the third film when it comes to content. Karan Soni, who plays Dopinder in the series, explained that Deadpool 3 is another "hard R" movie that should feel familiar to fans of the franchise.

"I have begun working on that one, so I can say that it is the same as the other two. It's like hard R. There's a lot of that stuff. So it does not feel different," Soni told ComicBook.com. "The only thing that, for me, is different is that I have not gotten the script this time. The other two, we did get it, it's a big difference, at least for me, the MCU part of it vs. the Fox/Marvel part of it. They're so strict. So I've only seen glimpses of what I'm in."

Soni went on to say that Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, is only interested in making a movie that he wants to make.
