Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy is also heavily referenced in the game, including a callback to the first film by Michael Caine, the actor who portrayed Alfred Pennyworth. In 2024, Caine shared a Tweet that quoted Alfred's line from Batman Begins: "Why do we fall, sir? So we can learn to pick ourselves up." However, Caine mistakenly typed "Batman Begin" as the name of his film, and inadvertently created a meme. Both the quote and the typo have been retained for Legacy of the Dark Knight in a line spoken by Alfred himself. As part of the Bandai Shokugan line, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Tomodachi dolls are pocket-sized collectibles that look and feel great. Each of the seven characters has flocked fur and unflocked details, which gives them a cathartic texture when you handle them. This also works quite well aesthetically, as each little figure looks like it was ripped straight from the game thanks to the fine details of these textures.

In this third-volume release, you'll get Blathers, Celeste, Aurora, Goldie, Beau, Apollo, and Judy. The first two collections are also available, so if you're looking to go all in on your love for Animal Crossing, you can add other characters like Tom Nook, Isabelle, and KK Slider to your growing village.
