New Research Proves What We Already Knew: Women Are Underserved By Game Industry

New Research Proves What We Already Knew: Women Are Underserved By Game Industry https://ift.tt/FprWSK9 Video game companies are overlooking potential female players, according to new research by Ampere Analysis, a London-based data and analytics firm focused on gaming, media, and sports (via VGC ). According to Ampere's latest study, women make up 48% of the current gaming market, and roughly 922 million players are female. For Black Friday, Amazon is about to make you a Blu-ray offer that you can't refuse. The Godfather trilogy, one of the greatest crime dramas of all time, is on sale in one convenient package and priced at $40. Normally you'd pay $91 for this set, but this is a massive 56% discount for the entire trilogy that has been remastered in 4K ultra high-definition.

The first Godfather film set a high bar when it was first released in 1972, and it features a stacked cast of Hollywood's best actors. Marlon Brando was almost unrecognizable as the Corleone family don, Vito Corleone, and he's joined by Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, and a box of cannoli that's to die for. Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, The Godfather is a slow-burning tale of revenge and legacy that earned critical acclaim.

It was followed up by a sequel in 1974 that remained highly influential in the gangster genre and it's widely regarded as one of the best sequels of all time. With Al Pacino's character of Michael Corleone in the spotlight, The Godfather Part II weaves an intricate story that makes it both a sequel and a prequel.
