Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is live with a new large-scale Zombies experience, featuring many familiar enemy types from old Zombies games. One little Easter egg allows you to pet the hellhounds in the mode and doing so will score you an achievement. Here we'll guide you through the steps to unlock the You Can Pet The Dog achievement for Modern Warfare 3.

Get the zombie flesh

In order to pet the hounds, you'll first need to blow up some zombies. You can use grenades, RPGs, or breacher drones, but one of the best methods is to use a LT53 Kazimir grenade. Other explosives are more commonly looted, but the LT53 Kazimir seems to always drop the Chunk of Flesh item you'll need. Blow up a horde of zombies or toss the LT53 Kazimir grenade at a zombie, until a dead zombie drops the "Chunk of Flesh" item.

Now that you've acquired the zombie meat, you'll need to find a dog to feed.
