End Of Abyss Patch Fixes Most Of My Complaints Just One Day After Launch

End Of Abyss Patch Fixes Most Of My Complaints Just One Day After Launch https://ift.tt/U0BcyLq I spent a few days playing Section 9 Interactive's creepy metroidvania and writing my End of Abyss review , and ultimately concluded it was a fun but inconsistent experience hindered by a few particular issues. Now, just a day after it launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store, the studio has already cleared up most of those issues with a newly released patch . If you missed the review, my main concern was how the in-game map would sometimes share incorrect information, like telling me a door was locked when I had unlocked it, or failing to signify when I'd found the key to a particular door. In a metroidvania, this means a whole lot. End of Abyss is a game about exploration, including lots of backtracking via roundabout paths, so when I'd plan long treks across the world based on a faulty map, it was really frustrating to find out too late ...

PlayStation VR 2 Bundle Gets Big Discount Ahead Of Black Friday

PlayStation VR 2 Bundle Gets Big Discount Ahead Of Black Friday https://ift.tt/oWfVZcv

PlayStation VR 2 just received a rare outright discount as part of Dell's early Black Friday 2023 offers. You can save $100 on a PSVR 2 bundle that comes with Horizon Call of the Mountain, the VR-exclusive entry in PlayStation's popular Horizon series. This PSVR 2 deal is only available at Dell, and we wouldn't be surprised to see it sell out. Most of Dell's console bundle deals disappear fairly quickly, though right now you can also get a free $75 gift card with the Nintendo Switch OLED.

PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle

$500 (was $600)

Out of the box, there's a lot of great tech in the PSVR 2. The VR headset is miles ahead of its predecessor and is very comfortable to wear while it delivers some subtle haptic feedback to your noggin. The screens inside beam a crisp 4K image to your eyes, and setup requires just a single cable connected to the front of your PS5. For interaction, the included Sense controllers are lightweight peripherals that share several features with the PS5 DualSense controller, creating a great sense of immersive gaming.

As for the gaming, Horizon Call of the Mountain is an excellent showcase to dive into, especially if you're a fan of the series. The library for PSVR 2 games has also begun to slowly expand since launch and standout titles include Resident Evil Village, Synapse, Pistol Whip, and the recent port of Beat Saber.

"As a successor, it improves on what came before in every possible way," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PlayStation VR 2 review. "It's a very well-made VR headset that has a high-quality build and premium feel while utilizing powerful technology and features to ensure it hits all the markers for what a modern VR headset should offer. And it does this while being paired with an equally powerful console capable of rendering awe-inspiring virtual spaces."
