James Gunn, one of the co-heads of DC Studios, has responded to Margot Robbie's announcement that she might not play Harley Quinn again. Posting on Threads, Gunn said he would "love" to work with Robbie again, whether that's for Harley Quinn or a different DC character.

"I haven't talked to Margot about Harley for a long time. But I'd love to work with her again as Harley or as someone else. There are no plans at this time for anyone else to play Harley (I mean, other than in [Joker director Todd Phillips' Joker 2] or the animated show/s)," Gunn wrote.

Robbie recently made headlines when she said she always envisioned Harley to be "a character that would get passed on to other actresses to play, the way there are so many iconic male characters."
