While the console hasn't been officially unveiled yet, Sony did mention that it is increasing investment in its "next-generation platform" while also working out how to deal with the global component shortage crisis driven by various global factors currently. Responding to questions, Sony president and CEO Hiroki Totoki explained that the rising costs for vital components like RAM would have an impact on its PS6 plans. "We have not yet decided on at what timing we will launch the new console, or at what prices," Totoki said during the call. "We would like to really observe and follow the situation. Rocksteady is in the process of compensating players with $20 in-game currency for those who purchased the digital deluxe version of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.

The reasoning behind it is that shortly after the game went live in early access for those with the digital deluxe edition, there was a bug that caused players to "auto-complete" the game, and the only way to solve this was for Rocksteady to pull it offline. Since the game is always online, pulling it offline meant that it would become unplayable until the studio resolved the issue.

Thanks to a VGC report, we know that an in-game message was sent to those who purchased the deluxe version of the studio apologizing:
