If you've never played the first Horizon game, Sony will soon sell a physical edition of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for $50--but if you take advantage of its current upgrade track, you can nab a digital version of the remaster for a mere $20. The trick here is to purchase the digital version of the original Horizon Zero Dawn. You can grab Horizon Zero Dawn from GameStop for just $10, so together with the upgrade, that's $20 in to

How To Reach Jagged Peak In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

How To Reach Jagged Peak In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree https://ift.tt/6bMCyBj

You're bound to explore a wider world in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. One particular region in the southeast happens to have some really dangerous enemy creatures. Here's our guide on how to reach the Jagged Peak in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

How to reach the Jagged Peak in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree (southeast region)

The Jagged Peak in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is all the way at the southeastern edge of the map. Funnily enough, even though there are many wide open areas in the game world, there's only one reliable path that you can take.

Map and directions to the Jagged Peak

The map shows how you can get to the southeast region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Your journey begins at the Castle Front Site of Grace--as the name implies, it's just in front of Castle Ensis. From there, follow the road to the south-southeast, past the camps with the guards, until you arrive at the Pillar Path Waypoint.

The troubles of Igon

As you approach the Pillar Path Waypoint, you'll hear a man asking for help. This fella's name is Igon, and we believe it's a nod to Game of Thrones--actually, there's another (spoiler-filled) nod to GOT much later, and it's very fitting as well.

Anyway, Igon asks you to "spare [him] some of your cruelty." Here's what we did:

  • In one backup save, we kept attacking Igon, which caused a dragon head to manifest. We kept damaging him until he died. We then obtained several items, including Igon's Greatbow, the full Igon armor set, and Igon's Bell Bearing (allows you to purchase ammo from the Twin Maiden Husks).
  • Since we thought that killing him was a bad idea, we used a different backup save where we simply ignored him. Unfortunately, when we reached the area of the Jagged Peak's main boss (much later), we found out that he had disappeared from his original location. Whoops!

Onward to the Dragon's Pit

If you continue past Igon's spot, you'll get invaded by an Ancient Dragonman. After taking him out, you can gallop past the Gravebirds in the area. Follow the narrow cliffside path until you reach the entrance to the Dragon's Pit dungeon.

Dragon's Pit - The fall and the Ancient Dragonman

Dragon's Pit is a mini-dungeon with relatively few enemies--there's one Magma Wyrm that drops a Dragon's Heart, though. Anyway, the most conspicuous section here is a chasm with a note: "Be brave. Show no fear."

If it wasn't that obvious, you just need to fall all the way down (your character won't die). Down below, you have to fight and defeat the Ancient Dragonman boss, who drops the Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana.

Important: There's a portal that takes you back to the entrance, but don't interact with it. Instead, go through the tunnel past the boss' chamber. It leads you to the exit and the Dragon's Pit Terminus Site of Grace.

Heading to the south - The Grand Altar of Dragon Communion

Now, you're on your way to the Jagged Peak in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. The road will eventually split into two. If you head to the south, you'll arrive at the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion. You can exchange 3x Dragon Hearts to obtain the Ghostflame Breath incantation. It's one of several new spells added as part of the DLC.

There's also a Dragon Priestess here. If you devour a Dragon Heart, she'll grant you a consumable that improves your resistances. It can be used in your fight against the main boss in this zone.

Heading to the north - Even more dragons

If you follow the road to the north, you have to traverse narrow cliffside paths until you arrive at the Jagged Peak. There are some dragon encounters here, and sections where you must gallop past numerous lightning strikes. At the very end, you get to battle a ferocious boss--one that's a nice nod to Game of Thrones. Where's Igon the Conqueror when you need him?

That does it for our guide on how to reach the Jagged Peak in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
