How To Reach The Southern Region In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree

How To Reach The Southern Region In Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree https://ift.tt/u910eSR

There are several regions in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. You can get to some of these areas in a straightforward manner, but others require a bit more effort when exploring. Here's our guide on how to reach the southern region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. These are the Cerulean Coast and Charo's Hidden Grave.

How to reach the southern region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

The southern region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree consists of two areas:

  • Cerulean Coast - Bright blue flowers are in full bloom, dotting the beaches and ponds near the sea.
  • Charo's Hidden Grave - This section refers to the plateaus and hills above the Cerulean Coast. The location is dotted with numerous blood-red flowers.

Map and directions to Cerulean Coast and Charo's Hidden Grave

Above, you can see a map showing how to reach both the Cerulean Coast and Charo's Hidden Grave from the Gravesite Plain, the DLC's first region.

Cerulean Coast - The path along the ridges

The first step to reaching the southern region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is to travel along the road going south from the Castle Front Site of Grace. Eventually, you should see a Messmer Soldier chilling by a cliffside area. Take out this fellow and look below to spot several ledges.

Continue all the way down until you arrive at a pond with a Pink Poison Flower. A tunnel here leads to the Ellac River Cave Site of Grace.

Cerulean Coast - The ravine and the river

From Ellac River Cave, keep going south and jump across the pillars carefully--there are also some Gravebirds here so watch out. At the very end of the path, there's a waterfall with a steep drop. You can jump on the stone ledges that are jutting out of the cliff face to make it to the bottom safely.

Cerulean Coast - The Brazier Giant

Once you're at the bottom of the waterfall, you'll notice a Brazier Giant in the distance. Avoid it by looping around the grassy area. There's a small tunnel at the opposite side that leads to the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace. If you keep forging further to the south, you can also pick up the region map.

Charo's Hidden Grave - The domain of dragons

Another southern region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is Charo's Hidden Grave. To reach it, you must first go through a dungeon called Dragon's Pit. We discuss all the details in our Jagged Peak guide.

Once you're back outside, follow the road that leads to the south, whereupon you'll come across the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion (with its own Dragon Priestess attendant).

Charo's Hidden Grave - The dragon carcass

At the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion, jump on the massive dragon's carcass. Then, hop off to land safely on the opposite hill with blood-red flowers. Now, you've arrived at Charo's Hidden Grave. Don't explore willy-nilly. Instead, we recommend swinging back to the north. The plateau above the Cerulean Coast Site of Grace also happens to have the Charo's Hidden Grave waypoint.

That does it for our guide on how to reach the southern region in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. If you're planning to visit other areas, we suggest taking a look at our guides on the Jagged Peak, Ancient Ruins of Rauh, Hinterlands (secret northeast region), and Abyssal Woods (secret darkened region).

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree takes you to the Realm of Shadow where you have to search for Miquella the Empyrean. If you're looking for more tips and tactics, you can head over to our guides hub.
