While the drop doesn't have a confirmed release date as of yet, we're already excited for the chaotic potential it's sure to unleash. Among the things coming to Minecraft in Chaos Cubed is the brand new Sulfur Cube, which sees its physics and properties change as it absorbs various materials, though how that might work remains a mystery for now. We're taking the "Chaos" in Chaos Cubed pretty seriously, though. Based on our first look, we're imagining that feeding Sulfur Cubes wood will cause them to become sturdy, structural blocks, while perhaps sneaking them a slime ball will turn them into gelatinous, bouncy bundles of fun. The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and The Silmarillion are all getting multiple new collector's editions later this year, giving Tolkien fans a new way to display their favorite books in their home. Each of the books are premium hardcover editions featuring striking new cover designs, and some include interior illustrations or additional slipcases. All told, six revised books are launching in the coming months--and since they're bound to be popular, reserving a copy today is a solid idea. Here's a look at what's up for grabs.

Preorder The Hobbit Collector's Editions

The Hobbit Collector's Edition costs $36 and arrives on August 6. The hardcover volume features a unique cover design, foil stamping, stained edges, and a ribbon bookmark, making it one of the most premium versions of The Hobbit on the market. However, you'll also find The Hobbit Deluxe Illustrated arriving on October 22. This $195 tome is seeing an early preorder discount, bringing it to just $151. Along with a different hardcover design, it comes with an exclusive slipcase and features dozens of drawings from the author scattered throughout its pages.

Preorder The Lord of the Rings Collector's Editions

Each book in The Lord of the Rings trilogy is getting a collector's edition on September 17. Much like The Hobbit Collector's Edition, these feature new hardcover designs, foil stamping, stained edges, and ribbon bookmarks.

Preorder The Lord of the Rings Collector's Edition With Map

If you know you'll be grabbing all three Lord of the Rings book, consider preordering this collection instead of all three books individually. The total cost is the same, but it gets you an additional slipcase for the novels as well as an exclusive map of Middle-Earth. It releases on November 5.

Preorder The Silmarillion Collector's Edition

The last book up for preorder is The Silmarillion Collector's Edition, which arrives on August 6. It follows the same format as the others, with a striking new hardcover design, foil stamping, stained edges, and a built-in ribbon bookmark. If you've already read through The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings trilogy, consider snagging this one for a fresh adventure through Middle-Earth that details the First Age and Morgoth.

These new hardcover editions aren't the only new Lord of the Rings releases fans have to look forward to. A new nine-disc 4K Blu-ray steelbook set of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film trilogy is also set to launch on August 9. The massive $170 collection packs extended editions of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King in their latest 4K transfers, plus tons of bonus features.
