Gang Of Dragon Won’t Be The First Game From Nagoshi Studio. It Won’t Be Any Game At All https://ift.tt/Vq8dc19 Nagoshi Studio, the studio formed by Yakuza creator Toshiro Nagoshi at NetEase, has been shut down before it even released its first game. According to Gematsu , shareholders officially dissolved the developer on October 31 via a resolution later published in the Japanese government gazette Kanpo. Under Nagoshi, the studio worked on Gang of Dragon, a new game that looked similar to the veteran developer's work on Sega's Yakuza and Like a Dragon series at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Work on the game continued over the years, and a trailer was shown at The Game Awards last year, but in March, reports said NetEase had pulled its funding for the project. The official Gang of Dragon YouTube channel also went down for a brief time in April, and in May, the game's website was whacked . So why did the studio shut down? Ubisoft insists Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in production despite having said next to nothing about it in the last four years. But while it's possible the sequel might turn out to be vaporware in the end, the original Beyond Good and Evil is back with the launch of its remastered anniversary edition. There's good news on that front, too: You can get Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition on PC at a discount from Green Man Gaming.

The new version of Beyond Good and Evil usually lists for $20, but using the code JUNE15, you can get it for $17 at GMG. There is one caveat worth noting, however: This code is for Ubisoft's PC platform, Ubisoft Connect, rather than Valve's Steam. The game is also included with Ubisoft's subscription service, Ubisoft+ Premium. You can subscribe to the program for $18/month or $135/year--the annual membership is discounted by $35 until July 11.
