The Penguin's New Comic-Con Trailer Unleashes A War For Gotham's Underworld https://ift.tt/n3A2Wve

During San Diego Comic-Con, a trailer for The Penguin was released. The upcoming spin-off of The Batman will be a limited series branded as an HBO Original. The Batman's Colin Farrell is reprising his role as Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot, and where others see disaster, the Penguin sees an opportunity to take control of the criminal underworld. But as shown in the new trailer, Oz has a significant adversary in his way.

Since Carmine Falcone was killed in The Batman, his daughter--Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti)--believes that she's the natural choice to take over the crime family. It also suggests that she may be a vigilante killer known as the Hangman.

The trailer also establishes two of Oz's key relationships. He's taking care of his mentally ill mother, Francis Cobb (Deirdre O'Connell), while also mentoring his new driver, Victor Aguilar (Rhenzy Feliz). Oz even seems to genuinely like Victor, which will put him in danger. Victor seems especially afraid of what Sophia could do to them.
