I was able to pick up a console for $250 during Black Friday and introduce my brother to this generation of console gaming. He just had to buy a Game Pass for Console subscription, and he suddenly had access to a big library of current-gen games and all of Xbox’s first-party titles the day they released. Sure, games didn’t run quite as well on the slightly less powerful console, but it was good enough for a casual gamer like him. Following the price hikes announced today by Microsoft , the Xbox Series S no longer feels like such a good deal. During San Diego Comic-Con, a trailer for The Penguin was released. The upcoming spin-off of The Batman will be a limited series branded as an HBO Original. The Batman's Colin Farrell is reprising his role as Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot, and where others see disaster, the Penguin sees an opportunity to take control of the criminal underworld. But as shown in the new trailer, Oz has a significant adversary in his way.

Since Carmine Falcone was killed in The Batman, his daughter--Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti)--believes that she's the natural choice to take over the crime family. That puts her at odds against Oz, and for the first time, we see that Sophia was apparently institutionalized in Arkham Asylum. It also suggests that she may be a vigilante killer known as the Hangman.

The trailer also establishes two of Oz's key relationships. He's taking care of his mentally ill mother, Francis Cobb (Deirdre O'Connell), while also mentoring his new driver, Victor Aguilar (Rhenzy Feliz). Oz even seems to genuinely like Victor, which will put him in danger. Victor seems especially afraid of what Sophia could do to them.
