While the drop doesn't have a confirmed release date as of yet, we're already excited for the chaotic potential it's sure to unleash. Among the things coming to Minecraft in Chaos Cubed is the brand new Sulfur Cube, which sees its physics and properties change as it absorbs various materials, though how that might work remains a mystery for now. We're taking the "Chaos" in Chaos Cubed pretty seriously, though. Based on our first look, we're imagining that feeding Sulfur Cubes wood will cause them to become sturdy, structural blocks, while perhaps sneaking them a slime ball will turn them into gelatinous, bouncy bundles of fun. While Mojang hasn't gone into the specifics of the physics that can be affected, that hasn't stopped us pondering the possibilities. You'll be able to feed a Sulfur Cube manual...

For the first time in a decade, there's a new Dungeons & Dragon's Player's Handbook, and it's the biggest one to date. The 2024 D&D Players Handbook, also known as the game's core rulebook, released this week (September 17) and is available at Amazon for $50. Like the last edition of the handbook, which released in 2014, the new handbook is for the fifth edition (5e) of the classic tabletop RPG. Whether you're new to D&D or are a seasoned player with many campaigns under your belt, the 2024 Player's Handbook is probably worth having by your side. You can also pick up the 2024 Character Sheets and preorder the upcoming Dungeon Master's Guide.

The Player's Handbook offers a detailed rundown of all the available classes, actions, skills, combat rules, and everything else you need to know to have a smooth playing experience.

At 384 pages, the hardcover book has a substantially higher page count than the 2014 handbook (320 pages). It contains exclusive illustrations and guidance that will help you in all aspects of D&D, including character creation, exploration, combat and more. Wizards of the Coast calls it "the essential reference for every fifth edition D&D player."
