For the first time in a decade, there's a new Dungeons & Dragon's Player's Handbook, and it's the biggest one to date. The 2024 D&D Players Handbook, also known as the game's core rulebook, released this week (September 17) and is available at Amazon for $50. Like the last edition of the handbook, which released in 2014, the new handbook is for the fifth edition (5e) of the classic tabletop RPG. Whether you're new to D&D or are a seasoned player with many campaigns under your belt, the 2024 Player's Handbook is probably worth having by your side. The Player's Handbook offers a detailed rundown of all the available classes, actions, skills, combat rules, and everything else you need to know to have a smooth playing experience.

At 384 pages, the hardcover book has a substantially higher page count than the 2014 handbook (320 pages). It contains exclusive illustrations and guidance that will help you in all aspects of D&D, including character creation, exploration, combat and more.
