Harry Potter Quidditch Champions: Season 1 Battle Pass - All Skins And Rewards
We're now three decades deep into our Harry Potter era, and Quidditch Champions is just the second Quidditch-related video game ever--and the first to really give the fictional sport an authentic sports video game treatment a la NBA 2K or EA Sports FC. The struggle to adapt the game is understandable--the rules of Quidditch in the books are pretty bizarre and unbalanced, and so making the necessary fixes while still maintaining the feel of Quidditch as we know it had to have been a tall task.
Now, Quidditch Champions has launched with a rather mild $30 price tag, and since it's a modern online multiplayer live-service game, it has a free battle pass that will allow you to unlock new cosmetics like brooms, wands, emotes, various accessories, and a Ron Weasley player skin. Leveling is simple: Just play the game, and complete your daily and weekly challenges for XP.
On top of all that fun stuff, you'll get three different currencies from the pass that can be used to unlock more cosmetics and broom upgrades. The pass is 50 tiers long, and along the way, you'll earn 100 Winged Keys, 200 Moonstones, and 500 Gold. The Winged Keys are for purchasing cosmetics from the Vault, Gold is for purchasing cosmetics from the Market--it's not clear why these are separate shops--and Moonstoones are for broom upgrades. You'll earn additional Winged Keys by leveling the season pass beyond 50, and you'll earn Gold and Moonstones by increasing your career level.
Fortunately, despite all that, Quidditch Champions currently lacks microtransactions--the only way to buy currency is to upgrade to the deluxe edition, which includes 2000 gold. But you can only do that once. Everything else can only be earned by playing.
To get a glimpse at all the cosmetics and other rewards you can earn from the first season pass for Quidditch Champions has to offer, keep scrolling.
