Pokemon's decades-long dominance faced plenty of imitators throughout the years, until Palworld's monster-collecting, base-building, and weapon-crafting hit broke through. Since then, every new creature-collector game has to answer the same question: What makes that worth playing instead? HoYoverse might finally have an answer. Enter Honkai: Nexus Anima. It goes without saying that Nexus Anima borrows ideas from the genre's biggest titles, but it feels more dedicated to combining the best parts of Pokemon and Palworld than replacing either of them, while still adding its own flair by way of interesting battle mechanics, beautiful worldcrafting, and a riveting narrative. The rollout for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new Christmas action movie, Red One, hasn't exactly been smooth. Earlier this year, there were reports that Johnson caused problems by not showing up on set as scheduled and by behaving obnoxiously. But now that the film is just under two months away, all of that bad press can fall by the wayside because the new trailer for Red One is so over-the-top ridiculous that it just might work.

The trailer largely focuses on former Captain America actor Chris Evans, who portrays bounty hunter Jack O'Malley. Jack is so good at his job that the North Pole's security team, as led by Callum Drift (Johnson) and Zoe (Lucy Liu), has forcibly recruited him to help them find Santa Claus (J. K. Simmons).

While the trailer doesn't definitively reveal who was the mastermind behind Santa's abduction, it does feature some bizarre winter-themed villains including evil snowmen. There's also a talking polar bear on Team North Pole, and Callum reveals that all toy stores are secretly linked by Christmas magic... or something along those lines.
