For The First Time, Doom And Its Composer Will Melt Faces In Real Life https://ift.tt/JYkwnil Fans of one of gaming's most iconic soundtracks will soon get to experience it in a whole new way, as composer Mick Gordon is set to play the Doom soundtrack live on stage for the first time as the headliner at Radar Festival in the UK next summer. Although Gordon played a medley at The Game Awards in 2016, this will be his first full-length set with a live band, orchestra, and full production. Gordon is known for defining Doom's identity with crushing riffs, industrial synths, and earth-shaking electronic production. His work on 2016's Doom and 2020's Doom Eternal established a new benchmark for video game soundtracks, with titles like Rip & Tear , BFG Division , and The Only Thing They Fear Is You becoming firm fan favorites. The rollout for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's new Christmas action movie, Red One, hasn't exactly been smooth. Earlier this year, there were reports that Johnson caused problems by not showing up on set as scheduled and by behaving obnoxiously. But now that the film is just under two months away, all of that bad press can fall by the wayside because the new trailer for Red One is so over-the-top ridiculous that it just might work.

The trailer largely focuses on former Captain America actor Chris Evans, who portrays bounty hunter Jack O'Malley. Jack is so good at his job that the North Pole's security team, as led by Callum Drift (Johnson) and Zoe (Lucy Liu), has forcibly recruited him to help them find Santa Claus (J. K. Simmons).

While the trailer doesn't definitively reveal who was the mastermind behind Santa's abduction, it does feature some bizarre winter-themed villains including evil snowmen. There's also a talking polar bear on Team North Pole, and Callum reveals that all toy stores are secretly linked by Christmas magic... or something along those lines.
