Xbox CEO Joins Federal Reserve’s Productivity And Jobs Task Force Amid Tumultuous Time https://ift.tt/SzyVoWR The United States central bank, the Federal Reserve, has announced new task forces to "advance the conduct of monetary policy," and its board has chosen Xbox CEO Asha Sharma to help guide one task force pertaining to AI, as part of a wider effort to help create jobs and keep prices stable. The new Productivity and Jobs task force will look into the "economic impact of new general-purpose technologies," including AI, to help the Fed make better policy decisions. Sharma is joined on this task force by billionaire businessman and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, along with Stanford University economics professor Charles I. Jones--he is currently on leave from the university to become a scholar-in-residence at the AI company Anthropic. HBO's The Last of Us returns on April 13 for its second season. Season 1 aired more than two years ago, so if you're looking for a refresher, HBO has now released a nice recap video.

The Season 1 recap video runs through all the major events in about five minutes, so it's not an exhaustive or comprehensive look back, but it has all the main bits you need to know and remember. Obviously, the video is full of spoilers--check it out below.

Season 2 debuts Sunday, April 13 on HBO and Max. There are seven episodes in all, compared to nine for Season 1. In other news, The Last of Us Season 1's limited-edition Steelbook version launched this week with a nice discount.
