Are you excited to help the Great Yonder Gang in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers? This group of kids can be found in the Cloudspire region. Naturally, you'll be able to help them to receive a bunch of goodies. However, certain mistakes could also spell their doom. In any case, our guide has all the information that you need, but there will also be a few spoilers later on.

How to complete the Great Yonder Gang quest in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

The Great Yonder Gang consists of their leader Shen Jing'an, and members Matchstick and Glut. Jing'an's dad, Butler Shen, also takes care of the kids.

Note that these quest steps initially take place in the Cloudspire region. As such, you must avoid going to Mt. Zhenwu too early in the campaign. Doing so might cause this arc to end prematurely and with disastrous results.

Quest start: Butler Shen Yangping location

To start the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Great Yonder Gang quest chain, you must go to Cloudspire - Cloudspire City. From the shrine, head to the back alley and climb up the ladder. There, you'll meet Butler Shen Yangping. Choose to "agree to help him" find a Wedding Dress for the upcoming festivities.

Meeting the Great Yonder Gang and initial rewards

Walk past Shen Yangping and check the house to your right. Inside, you'll find Shen Jing'an and Matchstick. Here's what you can get right from the get-go:

• Great Yonder Antler Cap - Talk to Jing'an and tell her that you'll join the gang.
• Celebrate emote - Talk to Matchstick.

Where to find Glut and the Wedding Dress

The next step for the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Great Yonder Gang quest requires you to find Glut, as well as the Wedding Dress itself. Here's a quick summary:

• From the gang's hideout, climb down the ladder and return to the alleyway from earlier. Check the side and you'll see obstacles that you can destroy. Go through the tunnel--which happens to have a Wu Gang item--and climb back to the surface.
• You'll notice that you're at the bazaar now. Take out the enemies and check the farthest tent to the left--i.e. the one next to the wooden plank that leads back to the shrine.
• You'll find Glut inside the tent. Tell him that you've joined the gang and you'll be presented with two choices:
  • Search for Shen Jing'an
  • Search for your master
• Choose the first option--i.e. Shen Jing'an. Glut will hand over the Great Yonder Fox Cap armor, too.
• Return to the group's hideout and you'll see that Glut has returned there. Talk to him to receive 3x Steamed Bunny Bun.
• Now that Glut is back, talk to Jing'an to obtain the Wedding Dress.
• Bring the Wedding Dress to her dad, Butler Shen Yangping, to receive 1x Full-Grown Red Mercury.

Matchstick and his Granny - Mort Grotto

Now, it's time to find Matchstick's Granny in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers:

• Fast travel back to Cloudspire - Snowy Passage and turn right at the fork in the path.
• You should see a bridge that leads to a cave and a Faces of the Past landmark. Don't cross the bridge yet.
• Instead, check out the stone door/wall on a sloping path with a gnarled tree and a hanging corpse.
• Interact with the stone door/wall to receive the Vitality Bowl quest item.

Matchstick and his Granny - Cloudspire Outskirts

If you return to the hideout, you'll notice that Matchstick isn't there anymore. Here's what you need to do:

• Fast travel to Cloudspire - Cloudspire Outskirts. Climb up the hut that leads to the section between the outskirts and the camp.
• Follow the sloping path that's filled with landmines and undead that are dropping from the towers. Then, take out the two enemies that are using the cannons.
• Once the coast is clear, check inside the nearby barn to find Matchstick. Give him the Vitality Bowl.
• Note that this area also has an Inner Demon that spawns in case you want to fight it.
• In any case, return to the group's hideout to see that Matchstick is finally back. He'll give you the Great Yonder Tiger Cap for your efforts.

Mistress of the Night Huang Yan: Tell of the Butler's betrayal or feign ignorance?

The next part of the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Great Yonder Gang quest takes place in Snowfall Palace. Your decision here affects the fates of other characters, so you need to be careful. Here's a quick summary:

• From the Snowfall Palace shrine, go up the steps and take the elevator to the rooftop. Then, check the room with the Waspomancy spell to meet Huang Yan, the Mistress of the Night.
• When you give her the Wedding Dress, you're presented with two options:
  • Tell of the Butler's Betrayal
  • Feign ignorance
• If you spill the beans about the Butler's plot, Huang Yan will send a monster to the hideout unbeknownst to you. If you return there, you'll see that everyone has died. You can pick up the Butler Shen armor set, Glut's Token, and Matchstick's Token from their corpses.
• If you feign ignorance, the group will be able to escape Cloudspire. The quest arc continues in the Mt. Zhenwu region.

Great Yonder Gang - Mt. Zhenwu location

After completing all the main and side objectives in Cloudspire, you should make your way to Mt. Zhenwu. Upon arriving at the Refugee Camp, you'll see that the group has made it. They're located in tents that's between the Child in the Jar and the swampy area with the Inner Demon.

Unfortunately, it looks like Shen Yangping has been greatly wounded. Talk to Jing'an and "agree to help" to continue with the quest.

Where to find Glut's Token and Matchstick's Token?

Sadly, the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Great Yonder Gang quest won't have a happy ending for a couple of characters:

• Make your way to Avian Marsh. Traverse the area normally until you see a ladder that leads back to the shrine.
• If you check the corner at the right-hand side, you'll see a worm-like monster.
• Kill it and pick up the item on the ground. You'll realize that these items are Glut's Token and Matchstick's Token. Yep, they didn't survive their trek through the forest.

Where to find the cure for Shen Yangping?

You won't have any new dialogue option with Shen Jing'an, at least not at this stage. So, for now, continue with the campaign until you reach Zhenwu Temple. Traverse the temple complex and, eventually, you'll battle a boss named South General - Liu Wenxiu. This fella drops the True Origin Pill quest item.

Fast travel back to the Refugee Camp and give the True Origin Pill to Jing'an. Then, rest at the shrine and talk to her again. She'll tell you that her father is feeling better and that they plan on fleeing by ship.

Ferry Overlook: Great Yonder Gang quest ending

This next part is important if you want to finish the Great Yonder Gang quest properly:

• After defeating the boss in Zhenwu Altar, you'll come across a certain NPC that's guarding a cave. This NPC will tell you if you wish to proceed. Decline the proposal for now.
• Instead, go through the cave normally. You should reach another area called Ferry Overlook.
• Ferry Overlook will have a bunch of characters that you've helped throughout your journey. These include Shen Yangping and Shen Jing'an, both of whom are by the pier.
• Talk to both of them. Then, give Glut's Token and Matchstick's Token to Jing'an.
• Next, rest at the shrine and return to the father and daughter duo:
  • Talk to Shen Yangping to receive 1x Crystallized Red Mercury.
  • Talk to Shen Jing'an and say that you have "unfinished business to attend to." You'll receive 1x Flawless Red Mercury.
• One last time, rest at the shrine and go back to where the two were standing earlier. There, you'll find the Butler Shen armor set.
