I was able to pick up a console for $250 during Black Friday and introduce my brother to this generation of console gaming. He just had to buy a Game Pass for Console subscription, and he suddenly had access to a big library of current-gen games and all of Xbox’s first-party titles the day they released. Sure, games didn’t run quite as well on the slightly less powerful console, but it was good enough for a casual gamer like him. Doug Bowser, the final boss in Nintendo's Mushroom Kingdom, will say goodbye to the company he's been with for over a decade. Bowser will step down on December 31, with executive vice president Devon Pritchard taking his presidential throne.

In a press release shared by BusinessWire, Bowser said it's been "an honor" leading Nintendo in the past decade and he's "proud" of what the team has accomplished for the business and consumers. He went on to praise Pritchard, saying NOA is ready for new blood.

"Now, it's time for the next generation of leadership and Devon’s track record speaks for itself," he said. "She is an exceptional leader, and her promotion is a testament to her strong performance and strategic contributions to the company's growth. I have full confidence that she will guide the company to even greater heights."
