The new Productivity and Jobs task force will look into the "economic impact of new general-purpose technologies," including AI, to help the Fed make better policy decisions. Gearbox Entertainment might be up for sale again, as reports have begun to surface that owner Embracer Group is looking for potential buyers for the company behind the Borderlands and Brothers in Arms franchises.

Speaking to Reuters, three sources "familiar with the matter " explained that Embracer has received interest from prospective buyers. How much Embracer would look to potentially sell Gearbox for remains a mystery, but for context, Gearbox was originally purchased for $1.3 billion back in February 2021.

If Embracer decides to sell Gearbox, the high price tag for the company will likely be one that can only be met by other major game publishers.
