GTA modder TJGM has been digging through the newly accessible files and has already highlighted several discoveries, including cut dialogue, canceled missions, development tools, and assets from Rockstar's planned single-player expansions. Gearbox Entertainment might be up for sale again, as reports have begun to surface that owner Embracer Group is looking for potential buyers for the company behind the Borderlands and Brothers in Arms franchises.

Speaking to Reuters, three sources "familiar with the matter " explained that Embracer has received interest from prospective buyers. How much Embracer would look to potentially sell Gearbox for remains a mystery, but for context, Gearbox was originally purchased for $1.3 billion back in February 2021.

If Embracer decides to sell Gearbox, the high price tag for the company will likely be one that can only be met by other major game publishers.
