Nick Offerman, who appeared in HBO's The Last of Us and won his first Emmy on Sunday evening for his portrayal of Bill, has revealed that a prequel series about the post-apocalypse lovers Bill and Frank has been pitched. Offerman told Deadline that the team is "not short on ideas" for a prequel series about the lives of Bill and Frank before they met, fell in love, and died together.

"I would have to ask somebody with a higher pay grade than myself," he said. "It certainly has been pitched. Offerman won the Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his performance as Bill, marking Offerman's first Emmy award. Offerman was not even supposed to be in The Last of Us, as the role of Bill was originally given to Con O'Neill before he had to drop out due to scheduling issues.
