Xbox Exec Isn’t Freaking Out Over GTA 6 Presales https://ift.tt/P2BKkTb Grand Theft Auto 6 is under two months away, but the early sales numbers for the game are already starting to get out. According to a sales tracker posted by Sensor Tower , GTA 6's PlayStation 5 presales are outnumbering Xbox Series X|S a ratio of more than 3:1. However, Xbox's Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball has refuted a report that Microsoft is unhappy about those sales numbers. In a message posted on X , Ball wrote, "We are very happy with GTA 6 pre-orders. Take-Two recently announced that Grand Theft Auto VI is now targeting a release in Fall 2025, and CEO Strauss Zelnick is pretty sure the game will make it out on time.

"There is slippage in the industry, and we're not immune from that. However, we narrowed the timing [of GTA 6] because we are highly confident in that timing," he told CNBC.

Previously, GTA VI was set for release at an unspecified point in 2025. It's worth noting that pretty much every Rockstar Games release gets delayed, so it's possible GTA VI might slip, as Zelnick mentioned was possible.
