With Gears of War: E-Day dropping in October, the studio is aiming to bring the franchise back with a bang after a lengthy hiatus. We recently went hands-on with the game--you can check out the video preview below--and our immediate takeaway was that The Coalition hasn't skipped a beat as it still knows how to put together a Gears game that looks and feels great. Set during the cataclysmic events of Emergence Day, Gears of War: E-Day tells the story of humanity's first encounter with the Locust. Outgunned and caught by surprise, it's up to Marcus Fenix to rally the survivors and turn the tide of the conflict. Square Enix has been slowly revitalizing the SaGa series over the past few years, and the RPG franchise's next big release is Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. The game is a ground-up remake of Romancing SaGa 2, which originally launched on the Super Famicom in 1993. An HD port of the original was also released in 2017, but this new remake version reimagines the game in full 3D and overhauls the battle system to match the new "timeline" system featured in recent titles like SaGa Emerald Beyond. There are also a few quality of life updates to make the game more approachable for new players, including new difficulty options.

Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven launches on October 24 for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, and preorders are available now. You can preorder a Steam key for $42.49 at Green Man Gaming with promo code JUNE15.
