I can call it a Metroid Prime-like, but it's also a survival-horror game with a sprinkle of Dead Space, but then I'd be remiss to not mention the souls-like influence too. Yes, it can be reductive to narrow a game down to its influences, but it's a testament to what makes End of Abyss interesting: its ability to execute on so many different elements so well, making it one of my most-anticipated games from 2026's Summer Game Fest. Throne and Liberty does a great job of feeling like a return to the glory days of MMOs, but that doesn't mean it eschews every modern feature or convenience. This free-to-play adventure has a lot of efficient mechanics to help players feel like they have choices in its massive world. However, you may be wondering if that extends to cross-progression and cross-play functionality. Well, we have good news and bad news--so let's dive in and find out.

Does Throne and Liberty have cross-progression (AKA cross-save)?

So, the bad news first: Throne and Liberty does not support cross-progression at this time. As such, if you purchase the game on more than one platform, you'll have to start entirely new accounts and characters on each.

Sadly, as of this writing, developer NCSoft has not announced any plans to add this functionality in the future, but we'll be sure to keep this updated if that changes.
