The Witcher 4 Probably Won’t Be On A Disc, But Dev Teases Physical “Feelies” Of Some Type https://ift.tt/CLmMgcB CD Projekt Red recently confirmed that the long-awaited RPG The Witcher 4 is targeting a release in 2028 , and that timing has led many to wonder if the Polish developer will offer the game on a disc. After all, Sony is ending support for physical PlayStation discs in 2028 and Microsoft is expected to ditch discs, too. CD Projekt joint CEO Michał Nowakowski told  The Game Business  that the studio has "no influence" on what companies like Sony and Microsoft choose to do with regards to supporting discs. "The discs for the first parties, including PlayStation, have to be manufactured in their own factories. So, if they stop manufacturing indeed by 2028, then yes [we won’t have a disc]," he said. GOG has kicked off its annual Winter Sale, and with discounts on over 6,500 games, there are quite a few tempting deals here, including a long list of classic PC titles that you'll only find at GOG--though there are plenty of big discounts on many of the latest releases as well. The GOG Winter Sale lasts until January 3, 2025.

As part of the sale, GOG is offering free games and other downloadable content daily until December 31. Right now, you can grab the adventure game The Whispered World for the low price of absolutely nothing until December 15. You can also download a set of seasonal desktop wallpapers. These deals will only be available for a limited time, so check back each day to see what's new.

As for what's discounted in the GOG Winter Sale, there are many great classic games available for $5 or less, including Dragon Age Origins, Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, System Shock 2, and more. If you're playing the recently released Soul Reaver 1+2 Remaster and want to finish out Raziel's trilogy, be sure to grab Legacy of Kain: Defiance while it's on sale for less than $1.
