With sprites giving everybody a bonus ability, and Overrides fundamentally changing the way the game works in the middle of matches, we've got kind of a large pile of gimmicks that show up in matches at random, if they show up at all. It's made for a disorienting and inconsistent experience that's difficult to strategize for, because there's no real status quo to get used to. It's a big mess, and it seems to be affecting player numbers in a big way, both for the core Battle Royale mode and Fortnite as a whole. The thing about battle royale as a genre is that it's already, by its nature, varied enough from match to match. Microsoft has revealed that there will be several more games leaving Game Pass on March 31, so be sure to give them a shot before they're removed.

Monster Hunter Rise is definitely a game worth playing. Monster Hunter Wilds was just released two weeks ago, but if you're looking for another game to scratch your hunting itch, Monster Hunter Rise will suffice. Four Yakuza/Like a Dragon games are leaving the service as well--Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. If you've already played Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, play Yakuza 0 as that fleshes out Majima's character.

MLB The Show 24 is also leaving, but MLB The Show 25 will not be added to Game Pass this year, so fans will either have to wait until 2026 for the chance that'll it come to the service or just purchase it.

The Lamplighters League is a tactics game that was released onto Game Pass on launch day in October 2023. The publisher, Paradox Interactive, said that it was a commercial failure. However, it sits at a score of 73 on GameSpot's sister site, Metacritic, so give it a shot if you're into tactics games.

Finally, Open Roads, Lil Gator Game, and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged are leaving Game Pass as well.
