Streamers And Voice Actors Refuse To Work With Popular New Gacha Game Over Gen AI Concerns

Streamers And Voice Actors Refuse To Work With Popular New Gacha Game Over Gen AI Concerns https://ift.tt/UiGrP1F At first glance, Neverness to Everness has everything that a gacha game fan wants and needs--cute character models, a supernatural open world, and even realistic cars to drive around in. However, just a few days after launch, some players have begun to spot assets suspected to have been created with generative AI. As a result, popular streamers and even a voice actor that worked on the game have started refusing to work with Neverness to Everness and its developer, Hotta Studio. In one video , many are pointing out "artifacting"--unintended distortions that occur as a result of using AI to generate an asset. At one point, the character's entire outfit design appears to change after his hand blocks a portion of it. In another part of the game, players claim that Neverness to Everness features a billboard with scenes from the anime Weathering With You that appe...

Fortnite OG Map Changes For Season 5

Fortnite OG Map Changes For Season 5 https://ift.tt/Eg2TVA9

Things got pretty wild at the end of Fortnite OG Season 4, with the rocket live event leaving behind red rifts that left their mark all over the island. With the start of OG Season 5, we get to see the lasting effect of those rifts on the island. The swamp biome in the southwest has dried out completely and is now a desert, the farms at Anarchy Acres have been turned into a golf course, and a Viking Village has appeared up on the mountain next to Greasy Grove.

Season 5 also introduces some of our favorite smaller landmarks from the old map, like the dinosaur statues, the teleporting Durr Burger head that ended up on a random hill, and the birthplace of Kevin the Cube. Let's look at what's in store for us on the island in Fortnite OG Season 5.

The new desert biome in the southeast corner immediately catches the eye, and there, we'll find the new town of Paradise Palms replacing Moisty Mire. In the center-north of the island is Lazy Links, the golf course responsible for the proliferation of golf carts around the map. The Viking Village is at the western edge of the island, atop an extremely tall mountain.

Paradise Palms

Paradise Palms is a large desert town similar in size to Greasy Grove and Pleasant Park, but with one much larger building in the middle that sets it apart from those older spots. Paradise Palms is also at the center of the desert-themed Reload map.

Lazy Links

Lazy Links is a fancy country club surrounded by a luxury golf course, but it's not a Fortnite hotspot because of its exclusivity--it's because this is where the golf carts are. If you want to have some fun with Fortnite's first occasionally useful vehicle, drop at Lazy Links.

Viking Village

The Viking Village is surrounded by sheer cliffs atop a very tall mountain, and so it can be a pretty scary place--particularly if you play Zero Build. This ain't a modern Fortnite mountain you can slide down like you're Clark Griswold. It's the old kind that kills you if you step wrong.

Dino Park

This roadside attraction consists of three large dinosaur sculptures, a gift shop, and a bus stop, so it's not exactly loot city. But it is a strangely memorable spot that you always notice when you pass it by, just like the real-life California park that likely inspired it.

Burger Head

In the original Season 4 back in 2018, the head from the Durr Burger sign in Greasy Grove rifted into the real world, and then returned on this hillside east of Plesant Park. The result is Chapter 1's most picturesque landmark.

Kevin

What the original Season 5 may be best known for now is the arrival of Kevin, a big purple alien cube that popped up in the desert near Paradise Palms about a month into the season. Kevin then rolled all over the island before eventually jumping into Loot Lake and turning it into a giant trampoline. That's something to look forward to.
