Outgunned and caught by surprise, it's up to Marcus Fenix to rally the survivors and turn the tide of the conflict. A quietly canceled Avatar: The Last Airbender fighting game has been reincarnated under a new development studio, with a trailer highlighting what fans of the popular animated series can expect from the one-on-one 2D fighter.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game (a working title) was revealed during an Avatar: The Last Airbender 20th anniversary panel at New York Comic Con, and is slated for a summer 2026 release. It will feature 12 playable characters at launch, with more to come as part of a seasonal release model.

While it's billed as a 1v1 fighter (and looks that way in the game's debut trailer), its description on Steam lists support characters that will influence a fighter's play style and grant new special moves. Some of the characters highlighted in the trailer include Aang, Korra, Zuko, Toph, Katara, Sokka, and Azula.
