Xbox CEO Joins Federal Reserve’s Productivity And Jobs Task Force Amid Tumultuous Time https://ift.tt/SzyVoWR The United States central bank, the Federal Reserve, has announced new task forces to "advance the conduct of monetary policy," and its board has chosen Xbox CEO Asha Sharma to help guide one task force pertaining to AI, as part of a wider effort to help create jobs and keep prices stable. The new Productivity and Jobs task force will look into the "economic impact of new general-purpose technologies," including AI, to help the Fed make better policy decisions. Sharma is joined on this task force by billionaire businessman and venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, along with Stanford University economics professor Charles I. Jones--he is currently on leave from the university to become a scholar-in-residence at the AI company Anthropic. Walmart is offering several of the two-packs from this line for $25 (was $45) and a $5 Walmart Cash credit that can be redeemed for a future purchase. This series of Lego sets is inspired by racing and features classic and modern cars from famous brands like Aston Martin, Mercedes-AMG, and BMW. These two-packs normally sell for $45 each, but Walmart is offering a $20 discount on each one. The Lego Store Black Friday sale has also begun, and the main event is the new 3,600-piece Lego Icons: Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise. The iconic Galaxy-class flagship is priced at $400, and if you purchase it before the Black Friday sale ends December 1, you'll get three Lego freebies: The Lego Card Game Set is given away with all orders $65 and up, spending $170 or more will get you the Lego Hot Chocolate Stand, and orders of $250 and up will see the Lego Mini Knight's Castle (590 pieces) added to your basket. Other deals include a big discount on the 435-piece Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile and the 1,088-piece Battle Droid with STAP is on sale for $90 (was $140).
