Things are still very messy, but Epic's moves in that direction--which frequently seem to involve trying random things just to see what happens--may have finally borne fruit. Back at the end of 2023, Fortnite attempted to usher in its metaverse in earnest by launching Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and Lego Fortnite all at once. It didn't quite work, because all three were half-baked and missing key features. The only way to play Racing was in Ranked, Festival lacked instrument support and still doesn't have a practice mode, and Lego Fortnite had the feel of a generic early-access survival game wearing Lego clothing. Two years later, we've got a much prettier picture, but not because Epic went all in on those modes...

Black Friday Deals: Twin Peaks Box Sets & Books

Amazon actually has multiple Twin Peaks box set in its Black Friday sale. Twin Peaks: The Television Collection is only $30 (was $51) on DVD, and the Blu-ray edition is $47 (was $77). The Television Collection doesn't come with as many bonus features or the prequel movie, so if you're buying a Blu-ray set, From Z to A is the way to go. But if you already own The Television Collection, you might be more interested in the Criterion Collection release of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. The prequel film released on 4K Blu-ray in October, and it's already on sale for 50% off at Amazon thanks to the Criterion Collection holiday sale.
