Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way https://ift.tt/BWydxQs Over many years, I've written tens of thousands of words covering the Remedy Connected Universe, the Finnish studio's world tying the Alan Wake and Control series together. This is a team that loves rewarding players who notice the smaller details and go off the golden path in search of morsels of understanding. Connecting dots is often much of the fun in a Remedy game.  To my surprise, that side of the developer wasn't on display much in Control Resonant. There are definitely a few nods, and one chain of side quests in particular seems to have greater implications for the studio's future connected-universe games, but overall, I was taken aback by how disinterested Resonant was in tying itself to Remedy's bigger picture. However, it was by looking for those hidden details that I discovered something else I ended up loving about the sequel in a different way. ...

Some notable highlights from the sale include many of Bethesda's most recent games, like Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition for just $9 (was $40), which comes with the base game and all DLC. Doom: The Dark Ages is 71% off, currently at $20.64 (was $70), while Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Premium Edition is $53 (was $100) and comes with the Order of the Giants story DLC. For something a bit older, Dishonored 2 is down to a measly $2.84 (was $30).

If you're a fan of survival horror games, Bloober Team's Cronos: The New Dawn is $48 (was $60) for the standard edition. Cronos is a dark, dreary third-person horror shooter akin to titles such as Dead Space and Resident Evil 4, and was one of the best spooky games of 2025. Another notable 2025 release, Silent Hill 2, is down to $52.49 (was $70). It's a modernized, faithful recreation of the PlayStation original that both new and longtime fans can enjoy.
