Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way

Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way https://ift.tt/BWydxQs Over many years, I've written tens of thousands of words covering the Remedy Connected Universe, the Finnish studio's world tying the Alan Wake and Control series together. This is a team that loves rewarding players who notice the smaller details and go off the golden path in search of morsels of understanding. Connecting dots is often much of the fun in a Remedy game.  To my surprise, that side of the developer wasn't on display much in Control Resonant. There are definitely a few nods, and one chain of side quests in particular seems to have greater implications for the studio's future connected-universe games, but overall, I was taken aback by how disinterested Resonant was in tying itself to Remedy's bigger picture. However, it was by looking for those hidden details that I discovered something else I ended up loving about the sequel in a different way. ...

Another special event arrives to Pokopia this month, allowing you to meet a new Pokemon in the world and earn limited-time cosmetics. Pokopia's latest event is themed around the wish Pokemon known as Jirachi, and this guide will explain how to participate in the Wish Upon a Jirachi event and all known event rewards.

Pokopia's Wish Upon a Jirachi event is live from June 23 - July 8, and the event will start and end at 5 AM for your local time. Past events worked with time travel in Pokopia, but at the time of writing this, time travel doesn't work for Wish Upon a Jirachi.

Like past events with Bulbasaur and Sableye, Jirachi can be found outside of any of the Pokemon Centers you've restored. This means you need to progress far enough in the game to befriend Bulbasaur and rebuild the first Pokemon Center as part of the "Yawn up a Storm" important request for Withered Wastelands.

This new event allows you to befriend Jirachi and earn exclusive event items. Speak with Jirachi outside of any Pokemon Center, and the Pokemon will request Sparkling Wish Notes. This special event currency is only available during the event.

How to get Sparkling Wish Notes

You'll first need to craft Wish Notes at a workbench. Use the Wish Notes while speaking with other Pokemon in the world and fulfill their wish requests. When you grant a Pokemon's wish, a Wish Note will turn into a Sparkling Wish Note.

Then, you can take the Sparkling Wish Notes to any restored Pokemon Center, where Jirachi will let you exchange them for star-themed furniture and other items. These include a starry bed, clock, wardrobe, rug, cannon, and more.

The event lasts two weeks, so you should have plenty of time to gather up some Sparkling Wish Notes for Jirachi.

Time travel did work for the previous Sableye event. If you missed out on this Pokopia event, we have a full guide for how to meet Sableye and earn those exclusive items. Make sure to check out our complete Pokopia guides hub to learn how to build specific habitats, cook all recipes, and more.
