Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way

Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way https://ift.tt/BWydxQs Over many years, I've written tens of thousands of words covering the Remedy Connected Universe, the Finnish studio's world tying the Alan Wake and Control series together. This is a team that loves rewarding players who notice the smaller details and go off the golden path in search of morsels of understanding. Connecting dots is often much of the fun in a Remedy game.  To my surprise, that side of the developer wasn't on display much in Control Resonant. There are definitely a few nods, and one chain of side quests in particular seems to have greater implications for the studio's future connected-universe games, but overall, I was taken aback by how disinterested Resonant was in tying itself to Remedy's bigger picture. However, it was by looking for those hidden details that I discovered something else I ended up loving about the sequel in a different way. ...

Prep For Spider-Man: Brand New Day With This Spider-Man Lego Deal

Prep For Spider-Man: Brand New Day With This Spider-Man Lego Deal https://ift.tt/5gdmqzs

While Prime Day is offering plenty of great discounts this week, Amazon isn't the only retailer kicking off the summer with steep price cuts. Walmart is running its own competing sale with hundreds of noteworthy deals, including a discount that drops the popular Lego Marvel Spider-Man vs Oscorp set to $95 (was $140). Walmart's sale runs until June 28, but there's always a chance this deal could sell out before then.

Lego Marvel Spider-Man vs Oscorp (808 pieces)

$95 (was $140)

This Lego set features three distinct buildings--Miles Morales' apartment, the Oscorp building, and Venom's apartment. The front of the set features the façade of all three buildings, but the back is exposed to show various rooms within each location. Each one features a bunch of accessories and equipment, and a handful of interactive components make it a fun playset for kids. Accessories include a motorbike, glider, and weapons, though the list of minifigures is even more impressive.

This set is bundled with minifigures for:

  • Spider-Man
  • Spider-Woman
  • Ghost-Spider
  • Green Goblin
  • Kraven the Hunter
  • Eddie Brock
  • Miles Morales
  • Norman Osborn

Once you've finished snapping its pieces together, the completed playset stands over 18 inches tall and 14 inches wide. While you can probably use it as a cool display piece for your home theater or game room, it seems to be a better fit as a play set.

Plenty of other Lego sets are discounted at Walmart, so consider checking out the full catalog if you're looking to cross some items off your wishlist. You can also swing over to our Prime Day Hub, where we're rounding up the best Amazon Prime Day deals, spanning everything from games and controllers to Lego sets and Blu-rays. One great discount is for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PS5, as it's just $30 (was $70) and matches its lowest price ever.
