Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way https://ift.tt/BWydxQs Over many years, I've written tens of thousands of words covering the Remedy Connected Universe, the Finnish studio's world tying the Alan Wake and Control series together. This is a team that loves rewarding players who notice the smaller details and go off the golden path in search of morsels of understanding. Connecting dots is often much of the fun in a Remedy game. To my surprise, that side of the developer wasn't on display much in Control Resonant. There are definitely a few nods, and one chain of side quests in particular seems to have greater implications for the studio's future connected-universe games, but overall, I was taken aback by how disinterested Resonant was in tying itself to Remedy's bigger picture. However, it was by looking for those hidden details that I discovered something else I ended up loving about the sequel in a different way. ...
It's been about a year since KPop Demon Hunters made its big debut on Netflix, and it's hard to say what people love more: the songs, the visuals, Jinu's bad boy vibe, or Rumi's moment of truth when she embraces who she is for the first time. One of my personal favorite highlights is Derpy the tiger and his magpie buddy Sussie, and now Lego has announced a new set featuring the dynamic duo launching August 1. Fans can preorder the 825-piece set for $70 at Lego's online store.
The main part of the 825-piece build is a posable Derpy Tiger figure that lets you adjust everything his head, legs, and paws, and customize his expression with the included removable tongue piece. The Sussie figure features a rotating neck and movable feet. The set also includes Sussie's flowerpot and Juni's "Hello, Friend" and "Save the Date" notes as accessories. If you pop Sussie into his favorite spot on Derpy's head, this kit measures 8.5 inches high, 6 inches long, and 6 inches wide.
Derpy was designed by Wes Talbott, Senior Design Master in the LEGO Group, who said the project was "an instant yes" for him. “I had already watched the movie a few times, and as soon as I heard about it, I knew I wanted to work on it,” Talbott says. “It’s just one of those stories you want to share.”
If you're wondering if there will be more Kpop Demon Hunters Lego sets on the way, good news: Lego says "this is just the beginning" on its new Kpop Demon Hunters page, so chances are the company will announce more sets soon. (Please don't sleep on Bobby, Lego!)
In the meantime, there's plenty of other KPop Demon Hunters merch available, including official America Girl figures of the Hunterix trio Mira, Rumi, and Zoey; Squishmallow plushies of Sussie and Derpy; and more. Check the roundup below for a list of some of our favorites. Fans can also preorder the upcoming KPop Demon Hunters Criterion Collection 4K Blu-ray, which is available for $40 ahead of its December 31 release.
