Putting Control Resonant Under A Microscope Is Rewarding In An Unexpected Way https://ift.tt/BWydxQs Over many years, I've written tens of thousands of words covering the Remedy Connected Universe, the Finnish studio's world tying the Alan Wake and Control series together. This is a team that loves rewarding players who notice the smaller details and go off the golden path in search of morsels of understanding. Connecting dots is often much of the fun in a Remedy game. To my surprise, that side of the developer wasn't on display much in Control Resonant. There are definitely a few nods, and one chain of side quests in particular seems to have greater implications for the studio's future connected-universe games, but overall, I was taken aback by how disinterested Resonant was in tying itself to Remedy's bigger picture. However, it was by looking for those hidden details that I discovered something else I ended up loving about the sequel in a different way. ...
One of the most popular Super Mario Lego sets, the Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant, is currently down to $37.97 (was $60) at Amazon and Target, which is the kit's lowest-ever price to date. The Lego Piranha Plant set is rumored to be scheduled for retirement at the end of July, so this might be one of your only chances to pick up the 540-piece build before it's too late.
It's worth noting that other Lego sets will likely see big discounts when Amazon's full Prime Day sale kicks off on June 23, so it's worth checking our Prime Day deals hub throughout the week for all the latest deals on Lego, video games, Blu-rays, and more.
Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant (540 Pieces)
$37.97 (Was $60)
Lego Super Mario Piranha Plant Set.
The Piranha Plant is a personal favorite of mine. The head, jaws, and the two petals are fully posable, so you can display the completed build on your shelf in multiple ways to give it some personality. It stands at over 9in. tall, 4.5in. wide, and 6.5in. deep, so finding space shouldn't be difficult for a set of this size. There's also a hidden compartment built in underneath that hides two brick-built gold coins as fun extra detail.
You can pick this kit up at its lowest price from Amazon, price-matched from Target's deal, before it's potentially retires on July 31.
At 540 pieces, it's not the largest or most intricate Lego set on the market. But if you're looking for a cozy night, throwing on the Super Mario Movie while you lock in to putting this together sounds about perfect. The detail of the rounded warp pipe and the plant's head are interesting build techniques, and I had a ton of fun putting mine together and seeing how the designers were able to recreate the classic baddie in brick form. It's a fairly faithful recreation of its video game counterpart, and a great addition to any Lego and Super Mario fans' collection.
If you're on the hunt for even more Lego deals, there are a few currently live ahead of Prime Day. Sticking with Super Mario, the Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi Lego set is down to $104 (was $130) on Amazon, once again price-matching Target's sale price. But if you enjoy Lego set and aren't much of a Super Mario fan, the Lego Star Wars Grogu With Hover Pram build is down to $56 (was $70) at Target. This is a super detailed version of the young Force user and his vehicle he uses from the earlier seasons of the Disney+ show, coming in at 1,048 pieces.
It's worth noting that other Lego sets will likely see big discounts when Amazon's full Prime Day sale kicks off on June 23, so it's worth checking our Prime Day deals hub throughout the week for all the latest deals on Lego, video games, Blu-rays, and more.
