This Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Pre-Order Discount Gives You Another Reason To Ignore Your Pawn

This Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Pre-Order Discount Gives You Another Reason To Ignore Your Pawn https://ift.tt/G9PQHYB Dragon’s Dogma 2 isn’t perfect, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t one of my favorite games of 2024. Climbing a giant monster and taking it down like you’re a supernaturally powered David against a monstrous Goliath is just fun, solidified into a game mechanic, and the combat only heightens the experience. With the Dark Arisen expansion giving me another reason to return to Battahl and, well, another reason to ignore the Pawn trailing behind me as I walk over the trail of corpses I’ve left in my wake, I’m ready to become the Arisen once again. I won’t bore you with the base game's details—if you’re here, you’ve probably already played one of the best RPGs of recent years. Dark Arisen isn’t just a simple narrative patched onto the existing game, either. It’s the culmination of months of performance improvements alongside the arrival of a substantial amou...

Love And Deepspace Devs Have One Simple Request: Please Don’t Drink The Poison

Love And Deepspace Devs Have One Simple Request: Please Don’t Drink The Poison https://ift.tt/riQKSDN

It hasn't been an easy year for the Love and Deepspace community after the Valko controversy left the fandom divided, but it looks like developer Papergames has brewed up new trouble for the gacha game. A few days ago, the developer posted cocktail recipes online, and followers quickly warned the studio that recreating those drinks could result in lethal concoctions.

"One taste of this Special Blend and you won’t forget it," the original post read, which was accompanied by recipes for the non-alcoholic cocktail mixes. Each one is inspired by an in-game slime--Artsyblobbu, Fiendyblobbu, Pilotblobbu, Snowyblobbu, and Stellablobbu--and the list of ingredients includes several items found inside of Love and Deepspace. Cute, wholesome fun, right? Not exactly.

As people online pointed out, some of those ingredients include hallucinogens like Datura and other toxic elements like colchicine, which you definitely should not be consuming. Papergames released a follow-up post a day later. They stressed that the drink recipes posted above are "fictional" and for "in-game purposes" only.

The replies to the cocktail tweets have been just as toxic, with several Love and Deepspace players quickly hijacking the thread to demand that the hunky werewolf Valko be finally added to the game--which is an entirely different can of worms. Long story short: Think twice before you start mixing drinks from a video game social media account, as it pays to double-check the ingredients so that you don't harm your body or start tripping the light fantastic.
