Far Cry 7 And Standalone Multiplayer Game Reportedly In Development | GameSpot News https://ift.tt/QYF75PK Ubisoft doubles down on Far Cry, fans discover potential Dead Space 2 Remake Easter egg, and new details on The Lords of the Fallen.

Dungeons & Dragons Backtracks On OGL Deauthorization, Adds Creative Commons License https://ift.tt/2ovQzYH For a while there, it looked like Hasbro and its Wizards of the Coast label were about to destroy more than two decades of goodwill from fans, but the company is making some significant moves to reverse course, it announced today (via Gizmodo). Dungeons & Dragons executive producer announced that they're pulling back from the planned launch of Open Gaming License 1.2, which would replace and deauthorize Open Gaming License 1.0. Wizards of the Coast launched this license in 2000 with the intention being it would last indefinitely. "When you give us playtest feedback, we take it seriously," Brink wrote. "Already more than 15,000 of you have filled out the survey. The live survey results are clear. You want OGL 1.0a. You want irrevocability. You like Creative Commons. The feedback is in such high volume and its direction is so plain that we're acting now." Continue Reading at GameSpot

Destiny 2 Is Opening Voting For 2023's Festival Of The Lost Armor https://ift.tt/QcM7LwN Even though Destiny 2's next Festival of the Lost won't come around for another nine months, it's time to start thinking spooky, because voting is now open for 2023's Festival of the Lost armor. This year Bungie is presenting two options, both bug-themed--one a spider-like arachnophobe's nightmare, the other taking inspiration from glowing gold beetles. The way the vote works has been changed up a little after last year's incredibly close result, with Bungie pointing out that votes were obviously split between classes. So this year, each class will be able to decide individually what armor set they would like to wear come Halloween. That means that Titans may end up with the spider armor while Hunters sport the beetle option, with the overall creepy-crawly theme keeping both options cohesive with each other. Elden Ring Streamer Finds New Way To Play Game Using Only Their Mind https://ift.tt/7YqrSVM Uk-based streamer Perri has recently discovered a new to play Elden Ring. While other streamers, such as MissMikkaa, have played the game with a dance pad, Perri is playing it with their mind. In a series of videos uploaded to their TikTok and Instagram accounts, you can see how they play using a headset that looks similar to what Professor Xavier would wear in the X-Men. The headset they're wearing is called an Electroencephalogram (EEG). It uses a sensor pad soaked in saline solution to create conductivity on their head that detects electrical activity. In one TikTok video, you can see them cast a series of spells on a couple of NPCs to kill them while backing up to avoid damage and switch weapons. While in another video, you can see them standing far away from their set-up, proving that they're only playing with their mind. Continue Reading at GameSpot

Far Cry 7 And A Multiplayer Far Cry Game Reportedly In The Works https://ift.tt/7YqrSVM Ubisoft is reportedly working on two Far Cry games. One will be a single-player experience, while the other will be a multiplayer-based game. This is according to an Insider Gaming report that claims the unannounced Far Cry game was originally meant to be one game until Dan Hay, the former franchise executive director for Far Cry, left Ubisoft to work at Blizzard Entertainment. The report goes on to say that the single-player project is now being referred to as Project Blackbird, and the multiplayer Far Cry is being called Project Maverick, with Ubisoft Montreal being heavily involved in both games. Although not much is known, the report suggests that Project Maverick will be set in the Alaskan wilderness and is set to be an extraction-based looter-shooter. This does align with a previous poll that Ubiosft did in the past that was originally spotted by PC Gamer, where it asked fans where they'd like the next Far Cry to be based--one of the options was Alaska. Apex Legends - All Celestial Sunrise Collection Event Cosmetics And Rewards https://ift.tt/M2ZwUI6 Celestial Sunrise Collection Event The new event features a plethora of cosmetics legends and weapons. Apex Legends' new Celestial Sunrise Collection Event is now live, and has introduced a new collection of 24 Lunar New Year-themed items to the game for players to purchase. These cosmetics are only available for purchase via Crafting Metals, Apex Coins, and Celestial Sunrise Apex Packs ($7 USD each). Once the event ends, these festive items will be gone forever, so anyone wishing to unlock the entire set should plan accordingly. But unlike the recent Spellbound Collection Event (which just ended yesterday), players who collect all 24 cosmetic items will also not be unlocking a new Heirloom Weapon. Other common rewards for completing Collection Events--like Prestige Skins and occasionally, Heirloom Shards--are also not among the items that can be redeemed for collecting all 24 cosmetics. In fact, no Mythic-tier items are included in this collection whatsoever. So what do players get in return for collecting all 24 Celestial Sunrise cosmetic items? A new item bundle containing a unique trio of cosmetics. These items include: Crystal Sigil weapon charm (Legendary) Happy New Year universal holospray (Legendary) Jadeite Retribution reactive Peacekeeper weapon skin (Legendary) Historically, reactive skins have only been available by purchasing the current season's premium battle pass and completing it. Each battle pass contains two unique reactive weapon skins for the same weapon. For example, Season 15's Eclipse battle pass contains two reactive Legendary weapon skins for the Charge Rifle: the Laser Eviscerator (unlocked at level 100) and the Cosmic Cannon (unlocked at level 110). Reactive weapon skins evolve, with pieces of the weapon beginning to glow or move as players rack up kills during a match. But if you're running short on Apex Coins and Crafting Metals, worry not--the Celestial Sunrise Collection Event also features a free reward track that includes stat trackers for Ash and Octane, a holospray, an Apex Pack, two weapon charms, a series of banner badges, and an R-99 weapon skin. All of the event's cosmetics--both premium and free--are listed below. Premium Cosmetics The Celestial Sunrise Collection Event features 24 enchanting new cosmetics--12 Legendary-tier items, and 12 Epic-tier items.
