The latest box office figures are in, and Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has fallen to No. 2, beaten out by a huge performance by the horror movie Insidious: The Red Door.
The Dial of Destiny earned $26.5 million during its second weekend in the US, falling 55 percent from its first-weekend haul of $60 million domestically, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Red Door, meanwhile, debuted this past Friday and earned $32.7 million for the July 7-9 weekend.
That was the second best opening weekend for the Insidious series in the US, trailing only 2013's Insidious: Chapter 2, which made $40.3 million. Internationally, The Red Door made $31.4 million to push the film's global results to $64.1 million after just one weekend.
