The chance to revisit the earliest version of the game was wildly popular with players, and now reports are emerging that Fortnite OG will be returning on a permanent basis starting in December. Fortnite leakers ShiinaBR and HypeX were the first to report the news. The first 10 seasons of Fortnite, which collectively make up Chapter 1, are said to be returning on a monthly basis, and only the OG loot will be supported. Additionally, both Fortnite's battle royale mode and Zero Build modes will be incorporated into OG. When Fortnite OG launched in 2023, over 44.7 million users logged in to play , which marked the most popular single day in the history of the game. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was officially revealed following the Xbox Games Showcase, and now a new blog post from Activision confirms players will need continuous internet connection in order to play the game.

Activision says that an internet connection is required to play all modes in Black Ops 6, including the campaign, due to the game's new texture-streaming technology. The statement from the publisher says this requirement is necessary because Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will use texture streaming across all game modes, allowing the developer to "deliver the highest-quality visuals while also reducing the game's overall storage space on your hard drive."

While this can be a bummer for some players just looking to enjoy the story experience offline, Activision says the campaign can still be played on console without a premium subscription service such as Game Pass Core or PlayStation Plus.
