Far Cry TV Series Heading To Hulu, Will Star Always Sunny Creator https://ift.tt/ENwPHrz Earlier this year, Ubisoft accidentally leaked the first word that a Far Cry TV series was in development with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob Mac and Alien: Earth creator Noah Hawley. Now, it's official. Far Cry is going forward as television show on FX and Hulu. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Far Cry will be an anthology similar to Fargo, the series that Hawley brought to FX over a decade ago. FX notes that each season of Far Cry will have a new setting and a new cast of characters. Mac--who was formerly known as Rob McElhenney--will executive produce and star in the first season of the series. Ubisoft's official account for Far Cry quickly shared the news as well. The epic sci-fi combat of the Halo video game series is getting adapted to official tabletop form with the upcoming Halo: Flashpoint. The skirmish game sees players assemble teams of Halo Spartans or Banished Elites and send them into tactical turn-based battles. Those who have played similar wargames like Warhammer 40,000--especially the smaller-scale Killteam format--will find Halo: Flashpoint's premise and gameplay familiar, but the game's creator, Mantic Entertainment, says it'll be easy to learn for newcomers to the genre.

If you want to get started with the new tabletop wargame, you can preorder the Halo: Flashpoint Spartan Edition box that includes enough minis and terrain for two players to engage in epic Spartan versus Banished skirmishes, plus all the necessary rulebooks, playing cards, and other gameplay pieces to learn to play the game. You can preorder Halo: Flashpoint Spartan Edition for $125 at Amazon ahead of its October 25 release.
