How to solve the Elephant in the Room in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - Puzzle guide

The Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Elephant in the Room puzzle is an optional mystery-type activity. However, it's important that you finish this task, since it grants a very helpful reward.

Elephant in the Room puzzle location

The Elephant in the Room puzzle is in the northern part of the Sukhothai map. Follow the winding river to the north until you reach Voss' Camp. This is also where you can come across a few goodies:

• Voss' safe can be unlocked by inputting 5-4-8-4 as a code. This nets you thousands of baht, the currency in the region.
• You can solve the Mak-Yek puzzle in the same building where you found Voss' safe.
• You can find the Royal Army Uniform in the washing area outside.

In any case, head to the back of the camp and you'll see a small temple with elephant carvings. Upon entering, you'll notice a Buddhist Statue. This begins the Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Elephant in the Room puzzle.

Elephant Statuette #1 and 2

The goal of the Elephant in the Room puzzle is to obtain three Elephant Statuettes, which you then need to place on the three pressure plates at the altar in the main chamber. Here's what you need to do at the start:

• Check the left-hand side of the room for a nook with dry straw. Use your lighter to burn the straw, which reveals Elephant Statuette #1. Place this on the right side pressure plate on the altar.
• The wall at the back-right of the altar will move, revealing another pressure plate.
• Pick up Elephant Statuette #2 at the right-hand side of the chamber and place it on the plate that you just revealed. The wall at the back-left of the chamber will open.

Elephant Statuette #3

Check the hidden room for the following:

• There's another pressure plate near the entrance to the hidden room. It's next to the torch.
• Pick up the Rebel Journal document.
• The Sukhothai Relics booklet is on a desk at the back. This shows the locations of all Sukhothai Relics on your map.
• Climb on the ledges and jump so you can grapple the beam with your whip. At the top, you'll find Elephant Statuette #3.

Just to recap, here's the situation:

• You have three Elephant Statuettes, and the goal is to place them on the three pressure plates on the altar.
• However, there are also two extra pressure plates off to the side (one in the hidden room and one at the back-right of the altar).
• Because of this, we need to move the objects around to ensure that all altar pressure plates are accessible.

Here are the next steps:

• Elephant Statuette #3: Place it on the altar: right side plate. This keeps the back-right nook open.
• Elephant Statuette #2: Bring it to the hidden room plate. This reveals the altar: center plate.

• Elephant Statuette #2: Place it on the altar: right plate.
