Producers Says Margot Robbie's Pirates Of The Caribbean Movie Isn't Dead Yet https://ift.tt/GrdqM8p Jerry Bruckheimer is a legendary producer who has been behind some of the biggest movies of all time, including Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise with Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow. Captain Jack has been since made a Disney icon, even being included in the Pirates ride at Disney theme parks, the first new addition to the ride in decades. With Depp stating he's hanging up the captain's hat for good, there's a lot of speculation of where the franchise can go from here. There was a Margot Robbie-led Pirates movie, but there are conflicting reports on the status of that production with Robbie herself saying it's not moving forward, but it also may not be dead in the water. Bruckheimer wanted to set the record straight. "I think we're getting very close on that one, too. We have a very good script. We developed two of them," Bruckheimer explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "The one with Margot Robbie and one with a younger cast. The Margot Robbie one needs a little more work. Pokemon Go Community Day January 2023 Will Feature Kalos Starter Chespin https://ift.tt/pfozDq7 Before Pokemon Go players head home for the holidays--including the Winter Holiday event--Niantic has left one more present under the Sudowoodo tree: Kalos starter Chespin will be spotlighted during the first Pokemon Go Community Day of 2023. The Pokemon Go January 2023 Community Day featuring the Spiny Nut Pokemon Chespin will take place January 7 from 2 PM to 5 PM local time. Players will have an increased chance to catch a shiny variant of Chespin during the event, and any Chespins that evolve to Quilladin and then to Chesnaught will know the special Charged Attack, Frenzy Plant. Chespin will be 2023's first Pokemon featured during Community Day. A limited-time Community Day Special Research, Quality Quills, can be purchased for $1 during event hours, in which players can complete tasks to earn extra encounters with Chespin. Henry Cavill Reportedly Attached To Warhammer 40K Series For Amazon https://ift.tt/oBfdpiI It's been a hell of a week for Henry Cavill, who announced he wouldn't be returning to the role of Superman, with reports he also would not be returning to his previous role in Netflix's Witcher series. It seems another nerdy franchise is on the horizon for Cavill, with the actor attached to star in and executive produce a TV adaptation of Warhammer 40K for Amazon, according to The Hollywood Reporter. No other names are attached to the project at present, and with Amazon still in talks to acquire the rights to the tabletop franchise, it's likely it will be a while before the series makes it to production. Amazon is reportedly finalising the rights deal with Games Workshop after months of negotiation and competition from rival companies. Warhammer 40K is a tabletop game that takes place in a dark, dystopian setting, 40,000 years in the future. The game features multiple factions--including the humans' Imperium of Man, the elven Aeldari, skeletal androids called Necron, and alien races including Orks, Tyranids, and the T'au--who are all locked in a brutal and neverending war. Marvel Snap added that an extra freebie consisting of a GOTY Card Back and Title will also be gifted early next year. Henry Cavill Will Not Return As Geralt Of Rivia, Despite Superman Departure https://ift.tt/oBfdpiI Although Henry Cavill will no longer return as Superman, he will still not play Geralt in season 4 of The Witcher, so says a new report. With Cavill's schedule freed up, in theory, fans speculated that Cavill might be able to return to monster hunting, but alas, this is not the case. According to a report from Variety, Cavill will not return to play Geralt of Rivia in future seasons of The Witcher. Cavill will appear as the character in the upcoming third season, but afterwards Liam Hemsworth will take over the role. Upon the original announcement of Cavill's departure, the fan response was immense and largely negative. A change.org petition asking for Cavill's return garnered hundreds of thousands of signatures. In October, Cavill appeared in a secret Black Adam cameo and announced that he would return as the Man of Steel in an upcoming film. Shortly after, James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as leads of DC's film, TV, and animation projects. Gunn since announced that he is penning a Superman film, focusing on a younger version of the character, and that DC would not longer be going forward with a Henry Cavill-led project. Overwatch 2 Patch Notes: Buffs For Ramattra, Nerfs For Doomfist https://ift.tt/oBfdpiI Overwatch 2's Season 2 dropped on December 6, and following the release, Activision Blizzard made some further tweaks and balance changes to the hero roster. Ramattra, the new Omnic Tank added in Season 2, has been buffed. His Nemesis form is more effective, with increased movement speed and armor bonus. His Omnic form's Void barrier has a reduced cooldown time. Doomfist's abilities have also been slightly adjusted. His Rocket Punch ability has been incrementally nerfed. Cooldown lasts one second longer, and takes more juice to power-up. In the December 6 update, the devs buffed him so players can use him more effectively as a brawler-slash-interrupter tank. Destiny 2's Dawning Event Is A Great Time To Level Up Crafted Weapons https://ift.tt/DiZMRgB Here's something you may not have realised about Destiny 2's Dawning event: players will be able to level up crafted weapons faster for the duration of the holiday event, with bonus progress awarded while completing activities. The buff was pointed out by Bungie community manager dmg04 on Twitter, who added that using snowballs to defeat enemies will also count towards levelling up any crafted weapons players have equipped. This little bonus will be helpful for players who want to level up weapons without having to go through a ton of ammo to do so. Henry Cavill Won't Be Returning As Superman https://ift.tt/DiZMRgB Barely two months after Henry Cavill announced he would be returning to the role of Superman, subsequently stepping back from Netflix's The Witcher series, the actor has shared that he won't be returning to play the DC superhero, actually. The news comes as James Gunn announced his first Superman project, which would focus on the hero in his younger years. In his first big move since stepping up to lead DC's cinematic universe James Gunn will be writing a Superman prequel film that will follow a young Clark Kent during his time as a Daily Planet reporter, THR reports. "In the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part of Superman’s life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill," Gunn explained. But all of that mining, fishing, and digging can get exhausting and tedious over time, so finding ways to cut down on the busy work is always wonderful. One such way is to use a very clever digging trick that will drastically reduce the time you spend filling in the holes you've dug. Read on to find out how to do it. How to fill digging holes in quickly Digging is arguably the least rewarding and most monotonous of all of the tasks you'll be doing around your valley, so the last thing you want to do after farming a biome for materials is go back and slowly fill in the holes you've made one by one. With one little trick, though, you can close in a huge amount of them all at once. Just drop large structures on holes to fill them in. To fill in a lot of holes at one time, just enter Furniture Mode and select a massive structure from around your valley, then lay it on the holes you want to fill to instantly reset the ground there. When you remove the structure, the ground will look as though you never dug there to begin with. The best options for this trick are large homes, such as Prince Eric's castle, but you can also use smaller objects to close in just a few holes if you prefer. Continue Reading at GameSpot

To begin, players have complained about the "icy sepia" tone that the March of the Lich King signature cards took. The next set of Signature cards will now be more coloful, Blizzard explained. Current signature cards display the name across the middle, which some fans have said interferes with the full art effect. Blizzard is fixing this by working on a design which will not interfere with the art. The card frame will also be thinned out to make more room for the art and to prevent confusion concerning whether the frame has any gameplay impact. The post specifies that these changes will be arriving in the next expansion's signature cards, so whether these changes will apply to past cards is still up in the air. The post also says that some signature cards have interfered with other goodies, making them something other than a pure bonus. If players obtained a Signature Lor’themar, they missed on a legendary card. The same goes for players who own both a Signature Grand Magister Rommath and the March of the Lich King Tavern Pass. Reedus joins a cast that includes Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, and Catalina Sandino Moreno. Keanu Reeves will reportedly be making a cameo. In Ballerina, de Armas stars as a young assassin seeking revenge against those who killed her family. John Wick: Parabellum writer Shay Hatten wrote the script. John Wick series veteran Chad Stahelski is producing. Ballerina, like the John Wick series it's part of, will be full of action. Stahelski told The Hollywood Reporter, "We're not just copying ourselves over and over again with gun-fu or something like that." And because the character Ballerina is not a copy of Keanu Reeves' John Wick, viewers are "going to get a different take on things," Stahelski said. Destiny 2 Spire Of The Watcher Dungeon Guide https://ift.tt/FYsy5SP In Season of the Seraph, Bungie launched its second dungeon, Spire of the Watcher, for Destiny 2 Year 5. This season centers around secret bunkers and Golden Age technology, making this Mars dungeon a perfect setting. To access the Spire of the Watcher dungeon, head to Ikora at the Tower and pick up the Ares Desperado quest. The first objective is to complete the dungeon. Load into the dungeon from the Mars location in Savathun’s Throne World. The Spire of the Watcher's recommended Power is 1570 on Normal, or 1610 with additional modifiers on Master difficulty. The game will drop you in a place called the Ishtar Chronoscopic Analysis, but you need to make your way around the cliffside by following the large yellow electrical cord. Once you arrive at the entrance mechanic area, shoot the lone Goblin or enter the combat zone to trigger the rest of the Vex to spawn--scouring the area are Void-shielded Conduit Minotaurs, Harpies, Goblins, along with four Cyclops sitting atop the cliffs. Entrance Dungeon Mechanic As one person figures out the mechanic, the others can help clear out the enemies. Microsoft Reportedly Willing To Allow Call Of Duty On PS Plus https://ift.tt/FYsy5SP Another compromise has cropped up from Microsoft, as the company reportedly has proffered Sony the option to put Call of Duty on PlayStation Plus. This would be one of the latest concessions from the Xbox maker regarding the popular FPS franchise as part of its bid to acquire Activision Blizzard. Bloomberg (via VideoGameChronicle) states that Sony hasn't accepted the offer. The company behind PS4 and PS5 is still making a case against the acquisition, arguing Microsoft could make Call of Duty exclusive to Xbox. The Federal Trade Commission is currently suing Microsoft over its attempted merger with Activision Blizzard. In an interview posted to England's official YouTube, Pickford explained that the case held a full set up including a monitor, which he prefers to the laptop screen. As picked up by Eurogamer, the soccer star was asked about the case around 8 minutes into the interview. Valheim's Latest Update Adds New Biome And Magic System https://ift.tt/o3ivlnz To celebrate the latest update in Valheim, Iron Gates released a new cinematic trailer showing off the first biome update, The Mistlands. The newly introduced biome is currently the largest biome in-game and introduces a variety of new content. In addition, a new magic system is being introduced that will alllow players to harvest eitr--ancient essence found that can only be found in the roots of the Yggdrasil World Tree. When it's consumed, players will gain the ability to use fire and ice powers. To use this power, they'll have to craft new staffs with various destruction, protection, and necromantic conduits to choose from. The Mistlands introduces new friends and enemies for players to fight on both the ground and air. They'll also be able to find shelter in dvergr structures that can be found throughout the biome. Players will also have access to new weapons, armour, building pieces, and more in the new biome. The beat-'em-up sequel starts after the first game and features Marian from the Double Dragon franchise as well as Provie from River City Ransom: Underground. In a post on the official CD Projekt Red forums, a developer representative outlines plans for modding compatibility. It has been six years since the last major PC update, so it's inevitable that a new update will change basic files in such a way that renders some mods unusable. In this post, CD Projekt Red linked a list of the Witcher 3's most popular mods to show whether or not they are compatible with the upcoming patch. For example, compatible mods include the All Quest Objectives On Map and the Over 9000 Weight Limit mod. Incompatible mods include Always Full Exp and Slots Slots Slots. Keep in mind that this is a list based on CD Projekt Red's own testing efforts. Though Epic hasn't publicly stated when Fortnite's servers will be back up, some historical precedence and reasonable deductions give us a pretty clear window of time. The short answer: You won't be waiting long. For a more detailed answer, keep reading. Here's when you can play Fortnite again. When will Fortnite servers be back up? Fortnite is currently in scheduled downtime following the Chapter 3 finale. This means Chapter 4 is upon us and with it will come new weapons, a whole new island, and a new battle pass, among other things. But none of that matters until the Fortnite servers are letting players back into the game. Epic likes to keep this a surprise, but recent history suggests Fortnite will be playable again sometime around 4 AM - 7 AM PT / 7 AM - 10 AM ET tomorrow, December 4. This three-hour window is our best guess based on having covered several seasons of Fortnite by now, and as always, the actual time is subject to change for a number of reasons. For one, downtime is needed to apply the game's latest patch, and patches can be delayed. Even if Epic is shooting for the earliest possible time to launch Chapter 4, things can get in the way of that plan. It's also worth noting that for the last year, new seasons (and the launch of Chapter 3) featured a queue system that slowed players' ability to get into the game past the main menu. This new game--which is heavily inspired by Dead Space--keeps things moving at a pretty brisk pace with an onslaught of cinematic set piece moments and no shortage of grotesque monsters to kill in equally grotesque ways. If you're wondering how long it will take to complete The Callisto Protocol, we've got the answer for you. How long to beat The Callisto Protocol The Callisto Protocol is a mostly linear survival horror experience with an average playtime of approximately 10 hours on its normal difficulty--and there is little to do beyond seeing its main story through. The majority of the levels are very straightforward and feature occasional optional paths that can be explored for resources or collectible implants and voice memos, though none of these detours are substantial enough to pad out the game's length by much. If you're a completionist looking to finish the game's full Trophy or Achievement list, you won't find a lot that extends the playtime, either. The hardest and most time-consuming part simply requires you to beat it on Maximum Security (the hardest difficulty), which is available from the start and may increase the total playtime by a few hours. Still, the game remains a compact ride with the remainder of the Trophy or Achievement list consisting of things like finding collectibles or killing enemies in ways that are likely to come naturally as you play. The Callisto Protocol Review - I Don't Belong Here https://ift.tt/LO1skBW Despite releasing a full 15 years later, you could argue that The Callisto Protocol is the spiritual predecessor to Dead Space, given the original pitch from director Glen Schofield was for Visceral Games' survival-horror title to be set within a prison, not a mining vessel. And in a lot of ways, The Callisto Protocol similarly dazzles with its incredible art direction and sound design, even emulating Dead Space's over-the-shoulder third-person perspective and integrated HUD. However, The Callisto Protocol goes its own way by focusing on melee strikes and dodges, utilizing a combat system that feels great at first but isn't suitable for the game's more action-focused latter half. Plus, lengthy death animations compound the frustrations of surprise difficulty spikes, creating an experience that feels like an uneven mix of horror and action that fails to adequately commit to or excel at either. In The Callisto Protocol, you play as Jacob Lee, a freight transporter contracted to ferry cargo for the United Jupiter Company, moving supplies from the UJC-operated Black Iron Prison on Callisto to the colony on Europa. On a routine trip back to Black Iron, Jacob's ship is boarded by Outer Way, a group blamed for a recent terrorist attack on Europa. In the ensuing struggle, Jacob and Outer Way leader Dani Nakamura are the only survivors, stranded on Callisto. They're both picked up by Black Iron security head Captain Leon Ferris and incarcerated in the prison on orders from warden Duncan Cole. Jacob awakes in Black Iron hours later, discovering a mysterious infection has been released into the prison, transforming the prisoners and guards into biophage monsters. Escaping from his cell, he teams up with fellow prisoner Elias Porter to find a way out. The Callisto Protocol doesn't devote too much time to storytelling and worldbuilding. None of the characters (save for Elias) are especially likable, and though the main villain has an intriguing motivation--you can clearly see how The Callisto Protocol was originally intended to fit into the PUBG: Battlegrounds' universe once you find out what the bad guy is up to--it's only revealed right as the game is concluding. I wish it had been revealed far sooner because, though the ramifications of it are interesting, there's not enough space in the plot for those ramifications to be explored. The game fleshes out the world up to that point with optional audio logs to discover, but most don't actually reveal all that much, and those that do aren't very interesting to listen to. Flanagan and Macy made names for themselves through their Haunting anthology series: The Haunting of Hill House, a season based on Shirley Jackson's novel of the same name, and The Haunting of Bly Manor, a season based on the horror novella The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Flanagan also created and directed the Netflix horror mini-series Midnight Mass (2021), as well as the teen horror series The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher, the latter of which hits Netflix next year.
